My Top Travel Picks

Like most people, I love to travel! The memories, learning and experience you gain from exploring outside of your backyard are priceless! I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and don’t want to bore you with a long laundry list of my travels, so I narrowed it down to my top 3 domestic and international destinations (with a lot of runners-up)!

Let me know if any of these made your top list, too or leave a comment with one of your favorite destinations! I’m always looking to travel somewhere new 🙂

Top 3 Domestic

Runners-up: Hawaii, Seattle, San Francisco, Miami, Philadelphia, Grand Canyon, New Orleans, Martha’s Vineyard

#3. Las Vegas (USA)

This is one of my favorite places to visit because there is so much to do! I don’t like to gamble, but I love dressing up, eating out, dancing and seeing shows! The night life never ends! Another plus: hiking at the Grand Canyon is only a car ride away!

#2. Chicago (USA)

This is a beautiful city built around Lake Michigan. One of the very first things I did here was take a twilight boat tour. The entire city is walkable, and the people are so friendly! There’s a beach, lots of sight-seeing, endless shopping, and it’s home to one of my favorite restaurants (Sixteen at the Trump Tower) along with deep dish pizza!

Home of the deep dish pizza!

#1. NYC (USA)

This city will always have a piece of my heart. It is sexy, fun, diverse and so alive! It has some of the best shopping, amazing Broadway shows (my favorite, Hamilton), lots of sight-seeing (Statue of Liberty, One WTC) and endless restaurants. Many of my favorite memories were made here!

Me being a little extra while eating pizza – haha

View from the hotel on my birthday! Do you spot the Jenga building?!

Top 3 International

Runners-up: Singapore, London (England), Santorini (Greece), Rome (Italy), Seoul (Korea), Vancouver (Canada), Bali (Indonesia), Barcelona (Spain)

#3. Tokyo/Kyoto (Japan)

I found Japan to be both overwhelming and mesmerizing at the same time. There are so many people that it’s easy to get lost in the mix (the subway is something to experience!) but there’s so much to do that I could easily spend months here and never get bored. There’s the most amazing sushi and ramen I’ve ever tasted, beautiful sight-seeing, unique restaurants and shopping, and the people are so friendly and polite. I can’t wait to go back!

Iconic and gorgeous bamboo forest!

#2. Phuket/Bangkok (Thailand)

I always look back on my travels to Thailand with a happy heart. Phuket is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. I remember canoeing in and out of caves and literally had tears in my eyes when I saw all the beauty that surrounded me. Bangkok is equally amazing! The night life is so fun (and as crazy as you would imagine!) and there is so much to see and do – endless temples, petting tigers, trying amazing cuisine, and riding elephants through the jungle!

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, hands down!
A floating market right outside Bangkok

#1. Paris (France)

Paris will always have my heart and if I could live here, I would! To me, this city epitomizes class and mystery. Everywhere you turn is picturesque and the French language is captivating to me. Hubby, if you’re reading this – future vow renewal destination?! 😉
