Our Beach Getaway in Aruba!

IMG_7184

Hi friends, I’m so excited to share my recent vacation with you! Me and my hubby wanted to escape the northeast cold, so we booked a last-minute trip to Aruba! We decided on Aruba because of the short direct flight (~4 hours from Philadelphia) and warm weather (mid-80s). It was my first time there and it was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve taken in a while. Partly because we packed the night before (usually we are rushing around the morning of), and partly because Sophia is getting easier by the day! Continue reading “Our Beach Getaway in Aruba!”

10 Things I Do Every Month to Stay Sane!

Let’s face it. Life is hard! Most of us have full-time jobs and are full-time parents, on top of trying to maintain a social life and remembering to cross a million things off your to-do list. It’s often easy to put yourself last, but it’s so important to pamper ourselves a little, too! It’s something that I was reminded of when I first had daughter and finding time to myself was difficult. Remember to refresh and “fill your tank” every day – a happy spouse, co-worker, parent, and/or friend benefits everyone!

Below are ten things I do that are just for me. This list is different for everyone, but the point is that you should make a list of the things that make YOU happy and fulfilled. It may be writing a blog post, curling up to a good book, or playing video games.  As my hubby always put it, “You do you, boo!”

My lunch date at Suburban Square!

IMG_5916 2

[Sponsored post] You’d think that living in the city, I’d love taking advantage of all the shopping and markets right outside my doorstep.  The truth is, I actually get in my car and drive outside of the city to do most of my shopping!  Growing up in suburbia, I prefer shopping where the selection is generally better and the sales associates are more welcoming compared to the hustle and bustle of city shopping.

I was so excited to check out Suburban Square in Ardmore, PA.  Just a short drive outside Philadelphia, the Square has everything you need in one spot – endless shopping, delicious restaurants, a fitness center (which I am a member of!), and even a farmer’s market stocked with some of my favorite items!  Ever since Sophia’s been born, it can be challenging to find time to treat myself to something special.  I thought it would be the perfect idea to bring my hubby along and make the outing a little lunch date!

Pregnancy, Sophia, and Where I Am Now!

IMG_9495

I want to begin this post by thanking you!  So many of you followed my pregnancy journey and gave me the most genuine support and advice!  I’m so humbled by the amount of kindness that I received, and it really helped get me through some of the harder times during my pregnancy.

I’m going to structure this post into three sections since it is a bit lengthy and folks may want to skip around.  I hope the momma’s out there can relate to my journey and those that are pregnant (or planning to be) can learn a thing or two from my experience.  Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions or want more info!  The internet is an amazing tool but sometimes there’s just such a plethora of information out there that it can be overwhelming, and you may not know where to start.  I’m by no means an expert, but I am always here to offer my advice or lend a listening ear.

My Breakfast at Tiffany’s Experience

Processed with MOLDIV

YOU GUYS! I finally got to eat at the Tiffany’s Blue Box cafe! The restaurant has been open since November 2017 and is located on the 4th floor of the Tiffany’s flagship store in NYC.  They require an online reservation a MONTH in advance and are extremely hard to get!

Yesterday my husband and I made the drive up to NYC and almost missed our reservation because his meeting with a colleague was running behind, I left my phone in a park (thankfully the person who found it was honest and gave it back!), and we got stuck in major traffic on the way to the restaurant. We finally made it to Tiffany’s – although flustered and a half hour late.
