IMG_2635

Summer is one of my favorite seasons! Bring on the bikinis, sandals, rompers, and… weddings! I’m obsessed with summer weddings – I got married in summer, after all! All the florals are in perfect bloom and you just can’t beat a romantic summer night. In this post, I’ve partnered with Chicwish and am sharing four of my favorite outfits that would be perfect to wear to a wedding, brunch, or date night.

Is Amazon Fashion Really Worth All the Hype?

Bag, amerii.com (I’m wearing the Esther Ata Bag)

By now, you’ve probably heard about Amazon fashion. You may have even bought one or more clothes yourself! For months, some of my favorite bloggers have shared their super cute and incredibly cheap Amazon finds, but I’ve never ventured to purchase my own. Paper towels, baby toys, even food – sure, but never clothes. I’ve always believed that you get what you pay for and have been loyal to quality stores over the years like Nordstrom and Revolve.

A Few Important Rules to Teach Your Daughter

I’ve come across this post a few times and wanted to pass it along. Not only to my daughter, Sophia and all of the other daughter’s out there, but also as reminders to ourselves. Even though these are simple rules, it’s easy to lose sight of some of them as we move through various stages of our lives. I hope you find as much joy as I did while reading through this list!

How to Deal with Bullies on and off the Web

Peace out, bullies!

In an online survey of more than 2,000 adults across the U.S., conducted on behalf of the American Osteopathic Association in October, 31 percent of respondents said they’ve been bullied as adults, and 43 percent believe that bullying behavior has become more accepted in the past year. As upsetting as being bullied is at any given moment, what’s worse is it can have a significant impact on your physical and emotional health, leading to sleep loss, headaches, muscle pain, anxiety and depression, or frequent sick days, according to the AOA poll. (Source: US News)

Real talk: We’ve all been bullied or the target of negativity at some point in our lives. Even though I was never physically bullied growing up, I still remember how it felt to not fit and would often get teased for being short and Asian.

Celebrating My Hubby’s Birthday in Jamaica!

YAH MON! It’s the perfect phrase to describe the Jamaica! Everyone on the island is so kind and accommodating, but laid back. We decided to take a quick vacation to escape the cold and celebrate my husband’s birthday. Lately, we have been taking a lot of trips to the Caribbean because I am still a little nervous to take a long flight with Sophia (Jamaica is only a 3 hour flight from Philly).

Q&A Session – Get to Know Me!

Hi friends! I wanted to try something different and do a Q&A post! I asked what you’d like to know about me and compiled a list of the top questions! It’s easy to scroll through Instagram feeds and see pretty photos of everyone’s outfits and travels, but we don’t know much more about each other other than what we are limited to in a caption! It was fun answering these questions and sharing a little bit more about myself. I’d love to know if we have anything in common! 🙂

My New Love for Jumpsuits!

Hi friends! Being petite, I always feared jumpsuits and stayed far, far away from them! I was afraid that all of the material would overwhelm my petite frame and make me appear shorter than I already am! I always thought the jumpsuit style was cute though, so recently I decided to try one on for the first time and was SHOOK. It actually didn’t look bad and even elongated my body a little bit!

Is Microblade Really Worth It?

Hi friends! It’s been a couple months since I had my microblade done and it’s one of the easiest and best self-care decisions I’ve made! It’s an immediate confidence boost waking up in the morning to perfectly arched eyebrows. It sounds a bit superficial as I write that, but it’s true! Eyebrows frame your face and having too thick or too thin eyebrows can really change your entire look. It’s also great for beach vacations so you’ll have great eyebrows even when swimming! Lastly and probably the biggest advantage is that microblade is a huge time saver – I love eliminating this step from my makeup routine everyday!

Our Beach Getaway in Aruba!

IMG_7184

Hi friends, I’m so excited to share my recent vacation with you! Me and my hubby wanted to escape the northeast cold, so we booked a last-minute trip to Aruba! We decided on Aruba because of the short direct flight (~4 hours from Philadelphia) and warm weather (mid-80s). It was my first time there and it was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve taken in a while. Partly because we packed the night before (usually we are rushing around the morning of), and partly because Sophia is getting easier by the day! Continue reading “Our Beach Getaway in Aruba!”
