I’ve come across this post a few times and wanted to pass it along. Not only to my daughter, Sophia and all of the other daughter’s out there, but also as reminders to ourselves. Even though these are simple rules, it’s easy to lose sight of some of them as we move through various stages of our lives. I hope you find as much joy as I did while reading through this list!
In an online survey of more than 2,000 adults across the U.S., conducted on behalf of the American Osteopathic Association in October, 31 percent of respondents said they’ve been bullied as adults, and 43 percent believe that bullying behavior has become more accepted in the past year. As upsetting as being bullied is at any given moment, what’s worse is it can have a significant impact on your physical and emotional health, leading to sleep loss, headaches, muscle pain, anxiety and depression, or frequent sick days, according to the AOA poll. Real talk: We’ve all been bullied or the target of negativity at some point in our lives. Even though I was never physically bullied growing up, I still remember how it felt to not fit and would often get teased for being short and Asian.
YAH MON! It’s the perfect phrase to describe the Jamaica! Everyone on the island is so kind and accommodating, but laid back. We decided to take a quick vacation to escape the cold and celebrate my husband’s birthday. Lately, we have been taking a lot of trips to the Caribbean because I am still a little nervous to take a long flight with Sophia (Jamaica is only a 3 hour flight from Philly).
Hi friends! I wanted to try something different and do a Q&A post! I asked what you’d like to know about me and compiled a list of the top questions! It’s easy to scroll through Instagram feeds and see pretty photos of everyone’s outfits and travels, but we don’t know much more about each other other than what we are limited to in a caption! It was fun answering these questions and sharing a little bit more about myself. I’d love to know if we have anything in common! 🙂
Hi everyone! I know I am veryyy late on writing this blog post – some of my most frequently asked questions are about my wedding dresses and elopement in Santorini! Warning: this is a very “picture heavy” post, but one that I’m so excited to share! I hope y’all enjoy! <3
Hi friends! Being petite, I always feared jumpsuits and stayed far, far away from them! I was afraid that all of the material would overwhelm my petite frame and make me appear shorter than I already am! I always thought the jumpsuit style was cute though, so recently I decided to try one on for the first time and was SHOOK. It actually didn’t look bad and even elongated my body a little bit!
Hi friends! It’s been a couple months since I had my microblade done and it’s one of the easiest and best self-care decisions I’ve made! It’s an immediate confidence boost waking up in the morning to perfectly arched eyebrows. It sounds a bit superficial as I write that, but it’s true! Eyebrows frame your face and having too thick or too thin eyebrows can really change your entire look. It’s also great for beach vacations so you’ll have great eyebrows even when swimming! Lastly and probably the biggest advantage is that microblade is a huge time saver – I love eliminating this step from my makeup routine everyday!
Hi friends, I’m so excited to share my recent vacation with you! Me and my hubby wanted to escape the northeast cold, so we booked a last-minute trip to Aruba! We decided on Aruba because of the short direct flight (~4 hours from Philadelphia) and warm weather (mid-80s). It was my first time there and it was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve taken in a while. Partly because we packed the night before (usually we are rushing around the morning of), and partly because Sophia is getting easier by the day! Continue reading “Our Beach Getaway in Aruba!”→
Like most people, I love to travel! The memories, learning and experience you gain from exploring outside of your backyard are priceless! I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and don’t want to bore you with a long laundry list of my travels, so I narrowed it down to my top 3 domestic and international destinations (with a lot of runners-up)! Let’s face it. Life is hard! Most of us have full-time jobs and are full-time parents, on top of trying to maintain a social life and remembering to cross a million things off your to-do list. It’s often easy to put yourself last, but it’s so important to pamper ourselves a little, too! It’s something that I was reminded of when I first had daughter and finding time to myself was difficult. Remember to refresh and “fill your tank” every day – a happy spouse, co-worker, parent, and/or friend benefits everyone!
Below are ten things I do that are just for me. This list is different for everyone, but the point is that you should make a list of the things that make YOU happy and fulfilled. It may be writing a blog post, curling up to a good book, or playing video games. As my hubby always put it, “You do you, boo!”
